Flood Relief & Rehabilitation
Rapid response and long-term rehabilitation for communities affected by seasonal flooding in eastern India.
Every monsoon season, communities in Assam and eastern India face devastating floods that destroy homes, crops, and livelihoods. The 2023 floods were particularly severe, displacing over 100,000 families.
Premier Foundation deployed relief teams within 48 hours, providing food, clean water, temporary shelter, and medical aid. Our teams distributed over 10,000 relief packages in the first two weeks.
Beyond immediate relief, we focused on rehabilitation — helping families rebuild homes, replace lost livestock, and restore agricultural land. We also established community disaster preparedness centres to improve resilience.
While the immediate relief phase is complete, we continue to support affected families through long-term rehabilitation programmes. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to standing with communities through their darkest hours.
